Harvest Counseling & Wellness: Nurturing Hearts and Minds for a Fulfilling Life

Harvest Counseling & Wellness

Brad, a Licensed Professional Counselor, is the visionary behind Harvest Counseling & Wellness. With a career dedicated to helping people unearth who they were created to be, Brad serves as the Owner and Clinical Director of this local mental health clinic in Argyle. His areas of expertise encompass couples therapy and trauma therapy, addressing issues ranging from codependency and trauma to parenting, family dynamics, anger management, and men’s issues.

Beyond his professional identity, Brad is a devoted husband of nearly 25 years and a father of two homeschooled teenagers. For him, marriage and family are not just concepts but deeply cherished values that he strives to embody. He works along side his wife to create a great family counseling center. While he finds joy in the counseling side,  she finds joy in the business side of Harvest in helping it grow. Brad’s enthusiasm extends to helping individuals balance the demands of career and family life while managing the inevitable stresses that accompany both. With over two decades of corporate business experience, he brings a unique skill set to his counseling practice, empowering clients to navigate life’s challenges effectively.

His career path into counseling is deeply rooted in personal experience. As a child of divorce, he keenly understands the complexities of family dynamics and the profound impact they have on individuals. Witnessing the transformative power of counseling in saving marriages, strengthening family bonds, and healing trauma has been a driving force in his career.

The Heart of Their Mission

At the heart of Harvest Counseling & Wellness lies an unwavering commitment to fostering healthy relationships. Brad emphasizes that our lives are inherently tied to the quality of our relationships—with ourselves, with others, and with God. In a world where self-diagnosis and external judgments often prevail, Brad delves deeper to unearth the root of the issue: our relationships.

Within his therapy sessions, Brad dedicates substantial time to educating clients on emotions, emotional maturity, effective communication, and the art of articulating one’s needs. He finds immense satisfaction from witnessing clients experience those “aha” moments and return to therapy having practiced their newfound knowledge.

He employs a blend of therapeutic modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method, and EMDR trauma therapy. This holistic approach equips clients with practical tools to manage defeating thoughts, set boundaries, and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Trauma therapy often plays a pivotal role in this healing process, illuminating unhealthy behavioral patterns and
paving the way for personal growth.
