Where Your Pet is Always in the Right Spot
Paw Oasis
Anyone who harbors an entrepreneurial spirit as strong as Nicole Harris must, eventually, let it fly.
In 2009 she launched her first pet sitting and dog walking service, Personable Pet Care, in Little Elm.
Following in-depth research, Nicole opened Bliss Pet Resort and Spa in Prosper in 2013. It offered a full menu, including dog and cat boarding, grooming, daycare, training, pet sitting, and dog walking.
Two years ago, Harris’ greatest entrepreneurial vision to date gained shape and substance. This one was her true dream. She sold her successful Bliss Pet Resort and began developing Paw Oasis Pet Resort in Castle Hills, drawing on all her experience and knowledge acquired since 2009.
Paw Oasis is a luxury facility that specializes in curating a custom experience for each pet. Nicole elaborated, “The schedules for play, rest, outdoor time, etc. are based on the individual’s needs, personalities, and temperaments. Are we dealing with a senior? Puppy? Special needs? Very active or a couch potato? Outgoing or shy? We don’t lump them all together, nor do we discriminate against breeds.”
Customer service is a top priority at Oasis Pet Resort, and that comes through the highest quality pet care. “Our employees are highly trained in CPR/First Aid. We have 24-hour security monitoring, an in-ground swimming pool, and artificial turf”, Nicole detailed. Owners can even watch their pooch via cameras as they play or rest, and can schedule to be picked up on Sundays!
“I’m a hands-on owner. To me, that’s the way to grow and to improve our services.”
Is there anything else on Harris’ entrepreneurial agenda?
“No, I feel very content with where I am in the pet industry,” the former elementary school teacher and mother of three young boys, said with a chuckle.
