A True Representation of Rotarians

Volunteering is such a vital part when it comes to the success of a community, which is why the Cross Timbers Rotary Club has chosen this month’s editorial to be focused on a woman who truly does place service above self. Nicole Smith Woodard constantly offers her selfless acts of volunteering to better the community.

“Nicole has embraced her Rotary board responsibilities with a burst of energy. Her organizational strengths were a blessing to me all throughout my year as President of this very active club,” last year’s previous acting President, Shelly Dodge, said. “Last year, in addition to her Vice President duties, I also tasked her with creating a video commercial for each guest speaker who presented to our club which she knocked out of the park.”

With all of Nicole’s contributions to the community of Flower Mound, it’s easy to see why she is such a valued member of Cross Timbers Rotary Club. “Nicole is extremely selfless when it comes to donating her time and efforts to the community,” Cross Timbers Rotarian, Kelly Murray, said. “She always goes above and beyond and is willing to help wherever she is needed. She’s a person that can always be counted on and is always appreciated.”

Nicole also hosts the Around Flower Mound podcast which is all about bringing light to the community leaders, business owners, parents, and charities within the amazing communities of Flower Mound. This just further proves how much Nicole Smith Woodard brings to the people of our community. She genuinely cares and her care consistently shines through in all that she does and sets out to accomplish.

Nicole had once been asked what makes volunteering so important and Nicole actually quoted Luke 12:48, “‘To whom much is given much is required.’ Nicole really is the embodiment of this verse. “I’m very excited to see what personal touches she brings to our club during her Presidency next year,” Shelly said.
