Simple Summer Cocktails

It’s officially summertime! It’s the season of laying by the pool, relaxing at the beach, or floating down the river. Pair that with a delicious and simple cocktail and you’ve got yourself a fun in the sun summer. I’ve compiled a list of simple summer cocktails for you to sip and enjoy all summer long!

Pina Colada

If you like Pina Coladas and hanging out by the pool then you are my kind of person. I’m a rare breed that enjoys a Pina Colada all year round but there’s something that just hits different when it’s summertime and you’re laying out catching some sun by the water.

Margarita

Margarita Mondays anyone? I can always find a good reason to have a yummy Margarita. It’s a classic that will never go out of style. They’re so refreshing that it makes one of the best drinks to have on a hot Texas day. Plus, not to mention that they are super simple to make. That’s a win in my book any day!

Vodka Spritzer

A Vodka Spritzer is the best bubbly and fruity concoction which makes it perfect for a summer drink. There’s just enough sweetness from the cranberry juice to make the heat of the summer bearable. It also makes the absolute best summer party drink. If you’re planning a get-together, you’ve got to try this one.

Red Sangria

When you think summer, do you think Sangria, too? I can drink a Sangria any which way you make it. The typical American way is to add sugar or ginger ale to sweeten it up. However, the Spanish way is also to die for. It’s bold, it’s fruity, and the perfect balance of dry and sweet. However you choose to create this cocktail, you’re sure to not have any regrets.

Tequila Sunrise

A Tequila Sunrise? Don’t mind if I do! There’s not a more beautiful summer drink than this. It’s beautiful and vibrant and has all of the colors of a beautiful summer sunset. And the fact that there are only three ingredients makes it a must-have this summer season.

Strawberry Daiquiri

A Strawberry Daiquiri is also just another name for an adult strawberry slushy. It’s a great way to cool down in the brutal heat of Texas summer while also enjoying every single sip. I have no doubt that if you decide to make this drink this season that there won’t be a single drop left!

Watermelon Martini

Who else agrees that watermelon is the official fruit of the summer season? So it comes as no surprise that a watermelon martini made the list for simple summer cocktails. It’s light and refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s the perfect combination to relax by the water and unwind.

Frozen Rose’

Frozen Rose’ all day! If you love a good glass of rose’ but it just doesn’t sound appealing in the heat of summer, try drinking it frozen. It takes your favorite rose’ to a whole other level of deliciousness. I promise that once you try this one, you won’t want to share a single sip of this delicious and simple summer cocktail.

Moscow Mule

Something about a Moscow mule just screams summertime to me. It could be the fizzy and tangy taste or the fact that it looks so festive. Whatever the reason, there was no way this one wouldn’t make the list. With only 3 ingredients and 3 minutes required, you won’t find a more simple cocktail recipe than this!
