Local Influencers – Favorite Book and Author

Kelly Murray – This one really is a tough one for me. I’m a big reader and thanks to audiobooks, I go through them pretty quickly. Right now, I’ve got a few favorites that I’ve just discovered. However, my forever favorite will always be anything by Sandra Brown.

Lori Walker – I loved the show Big Little Lies and after watching it, I just had to read the book by Liane Moriarty. I haven’t finished it yet but I’m truly loving it. It’s the best book for a vacation plane ride or for laying out at the beach.

Kelly Heslep – I always really enjoy books by Khaled Hosseini. Every book is just so good and so well written. But, I will say that her book, A Thousand Splendid Suns, is hands down my favorite. It has stayed with me for so long.

Cindi Howard – If you know me, you know I adore the entire Bush family. So, it comes as no surprise that my favorite book would be Reflections: Life After the White House by Barbara Bush. She was a true American icon and I will always love her.

Lori Fickling – Ken Follett is always my go-to author any time I’m looking for the best book. He actually wrote my favorite book that I’ve ever read which is The Pillars of the Earth. I recommend it to anyone who has never read it.

Kathy Hodges – I’m going to be completely honest, I’ve never been a big book reader. However, I do love a good fashion magazine – which should be a surprise to no one! But if you want a really good, fun, and feel-good magazine, check out any issue of Flower Mound Town Life!

Tracee Elrod – The Mitford Years is a series written by Jan Karon. There are 14 total novels and they are my absolute favorite to read! I’ve read them over and over again. It takes me to a different world when I read these books.

Charlotte Wilcox – Anything written by Nicholas Sparks is always a win in my book. I have read so many of his books that I’ve lost count of how many I’ve read. I can get lost in his Carolina romance stories any day. He will always be my must-read author.

Ginger Eads – I’m such a fan of the classics so it comes as no shock that my favorite book is Pride and Prejudice – a truly classic novel. But you really can’t go wrong with anything written by Jane Austen. Her novels and writings are timeless.

Morgan Orlando – It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover is hands down my all-time favorite book. Not to mention that there is no author better than Colleen Hoover. This book really got me and has stuck with me ever since. It was a soul-moving novel.
