Lantana Hemp Haus Provides an Alternative Health Gem

Lantana Hemp Haus

Kirk and Kati Edmondson, the husband-and-wife co-owners behind Lantana Hemp Haus, offer the community a small-batch boutique of CBD and hemp-derived THC products. All of their products contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill. Pivoting from a former CBD brand that Kirk shared with another business partner, Kirk and Kati brought their new brand to the Flower Mound community in 2021.

“We had just bought a house in Lantana, and we wanted to bring a cannabis dispensary-like store to the area because we felt it needed one,” Kirk said. “We are a small-batch company, so Kati makes everything on site. We offer anything from gummies to broad spectrum (no THC) topical creams. We also have THCa flower (the raw product), pet products, tinctures, seltzers, all sorts of stuff.” CBD and hemp-derived THC are beneficial for their anti-inflammatory properties. Humans, as well as animals, have endocannabinoid systems with receptors that can specifically receive the THC and CBD molecules that are found in cannabis. The most widely studied receptors, CB1 and CB2, affect the physiological processing of pain, appetite, memory, and anti-inflammatory responses. Receptors are found on cell surfaces. Although everyone has them, each body is different, which is why a wide range of reactions to these cannabinoids occur. Each body creates their own molecules that interact with the CB1 and CB2 receptors, and molecules within Cannabis are also capable of reacting with these same receptors.

“They’re great for relieving pain, anxiety, and stress, as well as helping with sleep and reducing nausea,” Kirk said. Delta Confections, Lantana Hemp Haus’ in-house manufacturing company, is licensed through the State of Texas to manufacture and sell the product. “We’re really focused on quality over quantity, which really sets us apart from other places that are franchises or commercial brands,” Kirk said. “Every single product on our shelves has been tried by me or my wife. We’ve perfected each formula to make sure our customers receive the highest quality product.”

Delta Confections also uses a third-party lab to test cannabis ingredients and final products to ensure the highest quality and specific dosage.
Additionally, Kirk and Kati’s immense knowledge of the plant — both as a health benefit and in terms of the laws surrounding cannabis is helpful to their customers.

“We’ve been doing this with a license since 2018 when the U.S. Farm Bill was first released,” Kirk said. “We love educating our customers about what the laws are in Texas as well as what kind of access they have to the plant under the current law.”

From recreational to therapeutic usage of the product, Lantana Hemp Haus can truly tailor a product to fit their customers’ needs. “We can help somebody who has severe nerve damage or back pain to someone who would just like to relax on a Friday afternoon,” Kati said. “If they come in and tell us exactly what they need, we can then formulate it to their needs.”

A true testimony to their exemplary customer service is their free next-day delivery of their products to local customers as well as their discounts for military members and veterans. Lantana Hemp Haus was recently awarded Best of Denton County 2023 in the category of Best Specialty Service. “Cannabis is our passion,” Kirk said. “I think you can really see that in our branding as well as our store. We love helping others and bringing cannabis to our neighbors.”

Currently, Lantana Hemp Haus has one location in Flower Mound but is looking to open another store in the North Lake area by the end of 2023.
