Getting Ready for All-Star Week

For just the second time in their history, the reigning World Series Champion Texas Rangers are set to host the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.

The Rangers hosted their first All-Star Game in 1995 at The Ballpark in Arlington and while this season’s official 94th-annual All-Star Game will take place at Globe Life Field on Tuesday, July 16, there will be more festivities and experiences to soak in surrounding this season’s Midsummer Classic.

All-Star Week Schedule

The MLB Draft is being held during All-Star Week for the fourth straight year and will take place over three days beginning Sunday, July 14 at the Cowtown Coliseum at the Fort Worth Stockyards. The draft is open to the public and will continue through Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16.

Monday, July 15, Globe Life Field will play host to the T-Mobile Home Run Derby before Tuesday’s showdown between the National League and American League.

Leading up to the All-Star Game, there will be an All-Star Futures Game and an All-Star Celebrity Softball game on Saturday, July 13.

Also beginning July 13 is the Capital One All-Star Village, MLB’s marquee fan festival that will take place from Saturday, July 13 to Tuesday, July 16, right next door to Globe Life Field at Choctaw Stadium — formerly The Ballpark in Arlington.

The Capital One All-Star Village will feature attractions for fans of all ages from the MLB Gaming Zone to the World’s Largest Baseball to meet-and-greets with MLB legends.

For more info on all the available attractions, head over here, and to purchase tickets to the various events, you can grab them here.

Whether you’re headed out to the game or will be taking in the rest of the All-Star Game festivities, there are plenty of things to do leading up to the big game on July 16.
