Keeping Beauty Extraordinary

Live Young Wellness Spa Argyle

There’s never been a time when Tatiana Lucy wasn’t promoting Live Young Wellness Spa. In fact, she proudly points out that she was a loyal client of founder and medical director Dr. Drew Sanderson when he was merely sharing space with another local doctor over a decade ago — long before his spa became the luxury brand it is today.

“He’d always talk about creating a brand, and I believed in him from the beginning,” said Lucy, a local wife, mother, and entrepreneur who ultimately switched careers and became a medical assistant. “Fast forward a few years, and he tells me he wants to franchise. He begins listing all of these potential locations and eventually mentions Argyle. I immediately said, ‘That’s mine. I want in.’”

She added, “I can’t tell you how much I value his mentorship and friendship. I’m proud of him. It’s an honor to be part of his creation.”

Lucy got her wish, and in turn, Dr. Sanderson now has one of his biggest supporters continuing what he started from the inside. Live Young Wellness Spa officially opened in Argyle under Lucy’s direction this past January, bringing the total number of LYWS locations to five. The award-winning, veteran-owned brand originally started in 2013 with its Flower Mound location, which is also home to Flower Mound Plastic Surgery Center and is the only med spa in Flower Mound with an on-site, board-certified plastic surgeon as the medical director. As a result, it quickly became the go-to and trusted spa for residents craving refreshed, rejuvenated, and natural results.

New facilities followed in Castle Hills, Allen, Prosper, and Argyle. Lucy is the franchise owner for Argyle. Dr. Sanderson remains the medical director for all five locations. The Argyle team represents the best this industry has to offer, with services ranging from laser hair removal to injectables and fillers, skin rejuvenation treatments, IV therapy, hormone therapy, weight loss, and more.

Lucy, a certified medical assistant, and her husband, Keith, a Navy Veteran who works for American Airlines, run the show. Their staff includes Paige Harrington (nurse practitioner), Krystle Kelley (licensed aesthetician and certified laser technician), and Tinika Harrup (front desk coordinator).

“I’ve never not backed the brand. So why wouldn’t I be part of his franchise model?” Lucy said with a laugh. “To be honest, I didn’t even tell Keith until after I’d written the check. I went home and said, ‘So … I did a thing today,’ and he was very supportive. My main focus — and I’ve told our staff the same thing — is to help Drew continue developing a luxury brand. We want to continue that and provide the best care possible at the highest standard possible. It’s not just another med spa.”

Lucy is right about that. One of the biggest reasons Live Young Wellness Spa has been so successful is that it doubles down on industry knowledge and oversight. Its organizational structure — with Dr. Sanderson as the founder, plastic surgeon, and medical director — far exceeds most med spas in Texas. This is because while others are also legally required to have a medical director overseeing the practice, many choose physicians (regardless of practice area) with no experience counseling clients or administering services such as Botox and laser skin treatments. In some cases, they may never step foot in the building.

That’s just not how things work at Live Young Wellness Spa. Their job is to be the standard-bearer in what they do, not only with services and treatment options that allow clients to live life to the fullest but also in how they build a team, instill confidence in their clients, create an atmosphere that’s inclusive and fun, and position team members to succeed at every level.

“It is different here, and I’m excited to be part of it,” Lucy said. “I have three daughters, and even my 13-year-old, Emily, is a client at the Flower Mound location and is itching to come in and see what she can do with the company. As my other girls, Chloe and Mia, get older, it will be interesting to see if they are interested in aesthetics, too.

“My entire family has been super supportive. It makes things easier knowing you’re part of something extraordinary.”
