Dino Day

Among the perks of owning a local business is contributing to the welfare of its community. BlueFuse Group at EXP Realty is no exception. Since launching the agency focused on helping residential clients buy and sell their homes in 2016, long-time Lantana residents Brian and Tisha White have sponsored multiple community events. This included title sponsorship of the second-annual Dino Day held June 10 adjacent to the gazebo at the South Recreation Center.

The Lantana Community Association had the original idea for Dino Day last year and was seeking someone as a partner. “They do a great job creating community events and try to add value to the community. They asked us if BlueFuse wanted to be a part of it,” said Brian, a member of the Cross Timbers Rotary Club. “It’s a great community event.

“This year we had everything from face painting to a variety of bounce houses and water slides. A dinosaur in a costume walked around on a leash with a ‘park ranger’ leading it for kids to have their pictures taken. They did a great job. It was a great way to meet a lot of people and give
back to the community.” White estimated about 400 people attended the Saturday morning event aimed at children up to age 12. He said it was bigger than the inaugural event in 2022. “The community association did all the work, and we just showed up,” Brian said. “We got to meet and entertain people.”

Brian said this year’s success will likely mean a third Dino Day next year. In the meantime, he will be overseeing the Cross Timbers Rotary Club’s Duck Derby at Flower Mound’s Riverwalk on Sept. 16. Last year’s event raised money for more than 25 charities. Brian is also on the board of directors of Journey to Dream and is active at Valley Creek Church. The Whites moved to Lantana from Austin in 2007 for Brian’s corporate job with Dell. Tisha started in real estate in 2015, and Brian joined her the next year. Since then, BlueFuse has sponsored a 5K race, ice cream, reading programs at school, and taking drinks to teachers.

“Our mission statement is ‘Give. Serve. Love.’ so we’re always looking for ways to give back,” Brian said. BlueFuse Group was recently named to the top three for Real Estate Team and Best Listing Agent in the 2023 Best of Denton County competition.
