New Principal of Student Success Center Announced

Lewisville ISD recently announced the naming of the new principal of the Student Success Center, Mr. Michael Wetchensky. Mr. Wetchensky is currently serving as the associate principal at the Student Success Center and he has held that position for the last five years. He will be replacing the Student Success Center’s longtime principal, Shawnda LaRocque, who recently announced her retirement.

New LISD Chief of Elementary Schools

The Lewisville Independent School District has recently named Jaime Clark as the LISD’s new Chief of Elementary Schools. Mrs. Clark will be taking over for Lori Litchfield, who was recently announced as the Chief Schools Officer in May. Mrs. Clark most recently served as principal at Castle Hills Elementary, which is a position that she has held since 2019. The entire district is thrilled to have her as the new Chief of Elementary Schools.

Lewisville Fire Department Awards Scholarship

Retired Lewisville Fire Captain, Gayle Johnson, sadly passed away in 2020. He was a part of the Lewisville Fire Department for 30 years and was very loved by the community. In his honor, the fire department established the Captain Gayle Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund. This year, Lewisville resident Guadalupe Carrillo was the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship. She is a graduate of Lewisville High School as well as the NCTC Fire Academy, which is one of the toughest programs in the area.

New Hebron Hawks Head Coach Announced

Hebron High School is proud to announce that John Towels III has been named the new Head Football Coach of the Hebron Hawks. Coach Towels III was the head coach at Clear Brook High School before accepting his position at Hebron. Coach Towels III served at Clear Brook High School for the past two football seasons. He is the second head football coach in the history of Hebron High School.
