Flower Mound resident Kendall Diedrich -A Champion for Animals In Need

We can all learn a thing or two from former Flower Mound resident, Kendall Diedrich. Her journey into animal rescue began with a chance encounter on a drive from Texas to Colorado. Spotting a stray dog in distress in New Mexico, Kendall’s compassionate heart led her to take action.

What followed was a series of car trips to rescue animals from dire situations. “I am determined to provide them with a chance at a second life,” Kendall said. She loads up her car with blankets, treats, food, and gas to get her to New Mexico to start saving lives.

This is where NM Animal Rescue was born. Founded in 2023, Kendall’s solo operation has evolved into a beacon of hope for countless animals. She recalls the invaluable lessons learned along the way, emphasizing the unwavering support of her community and the profound impact of witnessing animals transition from fear to trust.

For Kendall, the most rewarding aspect of her work lies in witnessing the transformation of rescued animals. From timid and frightened beings, they blossom into affectionate companions, eager to shower love on their newfound caregivers.

Among Kendall’s many memorable experiences, one stands out vividly — the story of Rosie, a timid dog who found solace and love in Kendall’s care.

“As soon as she came into my home, I dressed her in a cozy outfit, gave her some treats, and she became the biggest lover,” Kendall said. “She was always right by my side begging for attention. When we met the woman that was interested in adopting her, she already had a dog that looked just like Rosie!”

Through Kendall’s dedication, Rosie not only found a forever home but also discovered a long-lost sister, bringing joy and warmth to both Kendall and her new family.

Kendall’s values are rooted in the belief that every animal deserves love, safety, and compassion. She encourages the community to join her in making a difference, highlighting the importance of reaching out to local rescues and shelters to lend a helping hand. The tireless efforts serve as a testament to the power of compassion and kindness in transforming lives, one animal at a time. Her unwavering dedication inspires us all to become champions for those in need, reminding us that a small act of kindness can make a world of difference.

As of today, 24 dogs have been saved from euthanasia.
