It’s commonly known to residents that the community of Lantana was built around an 18-hole golf course. But were you aware that the course Lantana was built around was actually designed by the award-winning golf architect Jay Morrish?

The community of Lantana is actually home to four of Denton ISD’s schools. These schools include Tom Harpool Middle School, Annie Blanton Elementary School, Eugenia Porter Rayzor Elementary School, and Dorothy Adkins Elementary School.

Lantana is home to 1,780 acres of developed land. Lantana actually began its formation in the year 1999 on land that was originally owned by the Rayzor family. The first residents officially moved in on July 31, 2001.
