Where Your Pets Feel at Home

Paw Oasis

Nicole Harris can still remember the beautiful smile on her grandmother’s face whenever they’d find a homeless pet needing a new family. Her grandmother clearly had a soft spot for animals, and with young Nicole at her side, she spent most summers nursing rescued animals of all shapes, sizes, types, and temperaments back to health.

It was a great gig while it lasted, and those good deeds quickly made an impression on Nicole.

“We’d find baby birds, dogs, armadillos … you name it, and we’d take it in,” Nicole said with a laugh. “I didn’t grow up on a farm or a ranch, but my grandmother had a special love for pets. It made quite an impression on me.”

She added, “I didn’t think at the time that I’d make a career out of it. But here we are.”

Fast forward to today, and Nicole is doing her own brand of caring for animals with Paw Oasis Pet Resort & Spa. Located in The Colony, Paw Oasis is pretty much unlike any pet boarding and daycare facility you’ve ever seen. No, seriously. Paw Oasis is a luxury boutique experience featuring over 30,000 square feet of plush artificial turf with five play yards for dog exercising and socialization. They also have an in-ground beach entry swimming pool with play fountains and a 4-foot deep end.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. They offer customizable services for dogs and cats of any age and breed (including unaltered pets), meaning schedules for play, rest, outdoor time, etc., are based on each pet’s needs, personality, and temperaments. They have grooming services such as baths and haircuts, dog training and obedience programs, 24/7 security monitoring, daycare webcams, and even birthday parties — seven days a week!

The bottom line is that Nicole and her growing team of certified pet specialists want to curate a custom experience for each pet and peace of mind for every pet lover who walks in the front door. And that alone is a breath of fresh air to owners worried about their dog or cat being lumped in with every other animal at the facility.

Every pet is different, whether it’s a puppy or kitten that’s always active or an older dog that’s more or less a couch potato. Paw Oasis has a variety of packages and grooming services to meet the ever-changing needs of their furry guests.

“It’s definitely a unique setup when you consider most places are simplified with what they offer,” Nicole said. “I love that we can cater and customize to the needs of each animal. You can pick the amount of play time they get and so much more. And on top of that, this place is operated by people with integrity, passion for animals, and true customer service.”

If you haven’t had a chance to visit Paw Oasis Pet Spa & Resort, you and your fur baby are really missing out. Not only is this a great facility, but it’s built in the image of an owner who has made loving on animals her life’s work. In 2009, Nicole launched her first pet sitting and dog walking service, Personable Pet Care, in Little Elm. Though successful, she always envisioned herself being able to do more, and in 2013, she took a massive leap of faith by opening Bliss Pet Resort and Spa in Prosper.

After building up and selling that facility, Nicole again turned her attention to something bigger — something truly inclusive of everything a pet and their owner would hope to find in a boarding and daycare facility.

And just like that, Paw Oasis Pet Spa & Resort was born in August 2021.

It’s been a wild journey, but Nicole wouldn’t have it any other way.

“It takes a lot of work and sacrifice to do what we do, but it’s also extremely rewarding,” she said. “We continue to grow, and I can’t wait for what the future brings.”
