Smiles Crafted with the Care We’d Choose for Our Family

In an increasingly corporate healthcare world, Patenaude Orthodotintics stands apart by doing something refreshingly simple — treating patients like family.

Led by board-certified orthodontist Dr. Adam Patenaude, this practice — family-owned for almost 45 years — is proudly private and FULLY doctor-owned. This means every decision — from technology to treatment — is made with patient’s best interests in mind, not by a distant corporate office focused on volume or spreadsheets.

Dr. Patenaude has built his career around one guiding principle — if he wouldn’t recommend a treatment for his own child, spouse, or parent, he wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Each patient is given a clear explanation of all options, along with an honest recommendation tailored to their goals, lifestyle, and long-term dental health.

There are no cookie-cutter systems here. Every visit is designed to be meaningful, efficient, and personalized, avoiding unnecessary delays or one-size-fits-all treatment paths that often extend care time.

As a board-certified orthodontic specialist, Dr. Patenaude brings advanced expertise to every case. Orthodontists complete two to three years of specialized training beyond dental school, and only a small percentage go on to earn board certification — an added level of testing and professional distinction that signals the highest standard of care.

Dr. Patenaude’s background is especially unique. He is also a chemical engineer, a valedictorian graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Harvard-trained dentist. He completed his orthodontic specialty training and master’s degree at Texas A&M/Baylor College of Dentistry, one of the nation’s leading programs.

That blend of engineering, physics, and aesthetics allows him to confidently manage both complex orthodontic cases and subtle alignment, including pre-treatment before restorative dental work.

The practice uses modern, nickel-free brackets, advanced digital technology, and remote monitoring tools to accommodate busy families — while still offering traditional in-office visits for those who prefer them.

Equally important is the highly trained team. Specialized orthodontic assistants — rare in many offices — maintain advanced certifications and ongoing education, ensuring expert care every time. More than half the staff has been there for over 20 years.

For patients seeking orthodontic care that is thoughtful, transparent, and uncompromising in quality, this practice offers something increasingly rare — expertise guided by integrity, delivered with a genuinely personal touch.
