Setting Sail: Caroline Eads Takes Dance Talents to Disney Cruise Line

After recently graduating from Marcus High School, 18-year-old Caroline Eads is about to embark on a remarkable journey, one that began when she was only two and half years old. Caroline’s journey, marked by dedication and a lifelong passion, has brought her to the threshold of a dream opportunity —performing on a Disney cruise. Her story stands as a testament to faith, hard work, and the power of self-belief.

From the moment she could walk, the world of dance and the performing arts became intertwined with Caroline’s life, thanks, in part, to her mother, Ginger, a dancer herself. She recalls fondly, “I joined Top Hat (a local dance center in Flower Mound) when I was two and a half years old. Dance has always been a part of my life, and I’m very grateful that it was.”

This early start laid the foundation for her enduring commitment to the arts and paved the way for her blossoming career. In fifth grade, Caroline joined the theater and began showcasing her versatility as a performer. Over the years, she balanced both theater and dance, honing her skills through competitions and tournaments. Her junior year in high school, Caroline joined the Marquettes, merging her Top Hat training with the Marquettes’ unique style. “I grew up wanting to be a Marquette,” Caroline shared.

This chapter of her life opened yet another door, this time through Marcus Theater. During her participation in a theater convention called the Texas Thespians, her aspirations gained momentum. At the event, workshops were being held to give aspiring performers a taste of what a real audition is like. It was here that Caroline met a Disney casting director, where she had a chance to share her dream of working for Disney. Months later, she flew to New York to audition, to see if she could make that dream come true.

This determination ultimately led to her acceptance on the Disney cruise, where she will perform in various roles as part of the entertainment cast. Having signed a contract for the Disney Wonder cruise ship, she will spend two and a half months training in Toronto, Canada, before officially starting her 6-month voyage in September. Between choreographed performances and enchanting children, her days will be a mix of hard work and surreal adventures.

Despite her success, Caroline admits this road was not without its challenges. She acknowledges that the mental aspect of pursuing a career in the performing arts can be daunting. “You need to believe that you can do it, especially in such a competitive field,” she confesses. “Sometimes, you feel you have to have a certain look. ”Overcoming these obstacles requires resilience and a strong belief in herself. “I’m pretty hard on myself, and I’ve learned that it’s important to remind myself I’m where I am for a reason. You just keep on trying,” she reflects.

Caroline draws motivation from her supportive family, notably her mother and her father, Denton County Judge, Andy Eads. “My parents are my biggest supporters,” she shares. “They’ve been there at every performance and audition, reminding me to push through challenges and always giving me the push I need.”

Aside from her artistic talents, Caroline finds fulfillment in doing mission work, which she explains is a significant part of her identity. “I’ve always been passionate about helping others, and I want that to reflect in my performances with Disney.” Such beliefs root her in a sense of purpose beyond the stage, highlighting the importance of giving back as she pursues her dreams.

As she prepares to embark on this exciting new chapter, Caroline offers advice to aspiring performers: “Don’t be scared to put yourself out there no matter what. It’s okay to feel embarrassed or to feel like you don’t know exactly what you’re doing; that’s part of the process. You just have to push through it and have determination.”

Caroline Eads exemplifies the spirit of dreamers, blending talent and tenacity with a desire to serve others. From the dance studios of Flower Mound to the glimmering stages of a Disney cruise, her story inspires all who dare to chase their dreams relentlessly — a true reflection of a modern Disney princess in the making.
