Priding Themselves on Being Family Friendly

Championship Martial Arts

Kevin Nevels and his wife Amanda opened their first Championship Martial Arts location in 2010 in their hometown of Coppell. Driven by a passion for sharing martial arts and community involvement, the martial arts school quickly grew.

In 2019, with a thriving student base and an amazing team of qualified and skilled instructors, CMA Las Colinas was opened, and in November 2020, CMA Lantana was added to the family.

“A cornerstone of our mission is to consistently provide growth opportunities, not only for our students, but also for our instructors and staff,” said Kevin.

Today, CMA serves more than 800 students in their local communities. Offering age-specific programs starting at age 4, CMA teaches taekwondo with elements of other martial arts and focuses on leadership and public speaking training.

“Diving deep into each community is a core value for all CMA team members,” said Amanda. “As partners in education, our leadership support the local schools by teaching physical education classes and providing meals for staff. Supporting other small businesses and charities through partnerships and fundraisers helps us also reinforce the importance of giving back.”

“Amanda and I not only wanted to create a space for students to exercise, but to also develop the whole person,” Kevin said. “We truly believe that real impact is made through taking the life skills learned in martial arts and show our students how to live those daily.”

CMA Lantana is led by Chief Instructor Nicholas Davis and Program Director Brittany Cleve. This team continues the Championship Martial Arts vision of deep-rooted family culture, accountability, authentic relationships, and a drive for personal excellence.

“Our success and reach would not be possible without the support and trust of our entire team. We are so grateful for the support each community has given and we are excited to see that continued growth,” Kevin said.

Championship Martial Arts Lantana is located in the back of Bartonville Town Center, directly across from Marty B’s Coffee Shop.
