Live Young Wellness Spa – Argyle

Plenty of med spas dot the Southern Denton County landscape, yet only a recently opened one in Argyle offers more medical grade services than most others.

Tatiana Lucy, who shares daughters ages 14, 12, and 9 with Navy veteran and American Airlines A&P mechanic husband Keith, launched the Live Young Wellness Spa franchise on Highway 377 on
February 1. It is the fifth Dallas-Fort Worth location of the business originally started between 2015 and 2016 in Flower Mound by Dr. J. Drew Sanderson. The others are in Castle Hills, Allen, and Prosper, with Allen and Prosper also being franchise locations.

While Sanderson serves as the medical director for all five locations, Lucy is a Certified Medical Assistant and Paige Harrington a Certified Nurse Practitioner. They are aided by Licensed Laser Technician and Certified Medical Aesthetician Leia, Front Desk Coordinator Tinika Harrup, plus Lucy’s daughter Emily and Harrup’s daughter Ava. All are part of the trust Live Young Wellness Spa in Argyle already has established with its patients in a brief time.

Live Young Wellness Spa provides non-surgical cosmetic skin and laser care methods. Modalities include various facial options, injectables, dermaplaning, chemical peels, IV therapy, hair removal, microneedling, hormone replacement therapy, and weight loss programs. Lucy said her location is among only three within a 25-mile radius with the Sciton Moxi machine.

“It’s not just beauty from the outside in or from the inside out, it’s the overall wellness that we provide,” Lucy said.

Lucy previously owned her own property rental business and worked in the corporate world. While a long-time patient of Sanderson’s, she became interested in the medical field after dealing with her stepfather and middle daughter’s health needs.

“Dr. Sanderson and I slowly established a friendship over the years. He became my mentor when I was in corporate America with business matters,” she said. “Then one day, he said ‘I think I’m going to franchise, and he mentioned Argyle, and I was like ‘I’m in.’ I cashed out my rentals bit by bit to build this location.”

Lucy started in the field as a medical assistant for Dr. Daniel Forrer, DO, in Bartonville. “Dr. Forrer has a very family-oriented practice. Having been a patient then transitioned to staff, it was always something I valued and carried over,”
Lucy said.

“I always had a love for aesthetics and especially being a member of Dr. Sanderson’s practice for over a decade and developing a strong trust and a friendship with him it kind of tied it all in.”

Live Young Wellness Spa features membership levels that provide treatment credits that can be carried over from one month to the next.

“Our memberships have different perks and benefits to them,” Lucy said. “For example, we offer different services under one pricing. People can save those monthly credits if they needed to and roll them over, where many places it’s use it or lose it within that month and less options.”

The Argyle location also caters to both men and women.

“There’s a stigma to what men can do, but we have men as members,” said Lucy, “We have patients from ages 14 to 85. Because we approach so many things, whether it’s testosterone or estrogen, weight, we find a way to tie it all in.”

Thanks to Lucy’s great personal and professional relationships with Dr. Forrer and Dr. Sanderson, Live Young Wellness Spa in Argyle offers some concierge medicine perks with their HRT membership and new mobile IV services including referrals to those professionals and others. This provides excellent continuity of care.

“We have a nutritionist right up the road (Janna Weaver at Radiant Nutrition) who sends some of her patients over so she and Paige can go back and forth with our patient’s consent for their overall wellness and goals on a case-by-case basis,” Lucy said. “We work very closely with all of them.

“The big thing is having people come in here and feel they can trust us and feel like family. It’s a place where we have that tight knit communication with them and strive to be results driven.”
