Rotating History Exhibits January 3 – December 31
The City of Lewisville is proud to announce the installation of four rotating history exhibits as part of its year-long Centennial Celebration. The static exhibits highlighting elements of Lewisville’s history will be displayed on rotation at four locations around the city through the end of the year.
Peacherine Ragtime Orchestra Society Silent Film at The Lewisville Grand Theater March 7, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Experience the Peacherine Ragtime Orchestra Society’s live orchestra performance to the score of the film, The Freshman (1925) starring Harold Lloyd. The Freshman is a classic “college comedy” portraying Harold as he enrolls at Tate University for this hilarious telling of university life, sports, and more. The evening will include this feature length silent comedy and several ragtime and early jazz pieces. $25
Centennial Tree Planting March 15, 8 am – 10 am
As part of the City of Lewisville’s Monthly Community Beautification Events, this volunteer tree-planting effort will help enhance the park’s beauty and environmental health for generations to come. No experience is necessary just bring your enthusiasm. All tools and supplies will be provided. Meet us at Memorial Park to make a lasting impact on our community.
Guided Walking Tours April 26, 10 am – 11:30 am
Join a City history-keeper for a captivating 90-minute guided journey through Old Town Lewisville during ColorPalooza. Dive into the stories that shaped the city’s past, marvel at its present, and get an exclusive peek into its exciting future. Along the way, you’ll encounter historic landmarks, local legends, and lively tales that bring Old Town to life. The route is fully wheelchair accessible, making it easy for everyone to enjoy this walk through time.
ColorPalooza Onsite Presence April 26
Lewisville ColorPalooza is designed to showcase the rich cultural, artistic and eco-friendly spirit of Lewisville. Attendees are invited to experience a day of creativity, education, art activities and displays in Old Town Lewisville.
