LDISD Convocation
At Convocation, each and every staff member comes together to get pumped up for a brand new school year. We saw some of our student groups in action, recognized staff for their years of service to the district and heard inspiriting words from educator, author and speaker Dr. Todd Whitaker. Our team had lunch together, complete with hot dogs grilled by our staff and served by our student volunteers, and chips donated by Chuy’s before playing the inaugural Convocation Games! There were puzzles, bowling, reciting the alphabet backward, and many more fun games designed to bring our staff smiles and fun as they worked together for the first time this year.
