Unlock Creativity – Music. Art. Growth.

Every Age. Every Artist.

From the moment you step inside Flower Mound Art & Music, you immediately feel a palpable energy. Here, creativity is not just welcomed, it is carefully unlocked, nurtured, and honed into real skill. More than a school, the studio represents a living gallery of sound and color where students of all ages are invited to explore and perfect their artistry.

At the heart of this creative ecosystem is Justin Labosco, whose own artistic journey began early, playing drums at age 9. By the time he hit 14, he was singing and recording music. He played as the drummer at Fellowship Church in Grapevine for about 10 years and later performed in musicals and in bands through his 20s.

Over the years, he mastered a plethora of instruments, including piano, drums, guitar, bass, and ukulele, while developing a deep appreciation for the technical side of music, including composition, music theory, audio technology, and production.

Yet for all his talent, Justin is most passionate about one thing — teaching.

“I love teaching,” he said. “I love seeing my students progress and helping them through the creative process.”

This passion is woven into every lesson offered at Flower Mound Art & Music. “We’re not here to babysit anyone,” Justin said. “Students are here to truly learn, and they leave with tangible results of their progress.”

Lessons are designed to produce measurable growth, whether someone is learning a first chord, building confidence at the microphone, or exploring the intricacies of rhythm and melody. In the end, students are encouraged and taught to create their own songs — the most definitive way to document their progress.

Studio Designed by Artists for Artists

The studio itself reflects that same creative energy. Rather than a single open classroom, Flower Mound Art & Music is a collage of small, color-themed spaces, each tailored to the learning happening within.

From the moody purple room, you’ll hear the soft strumming of an acoustic guitar, and in the brooding black room, the deep, steady beat of drums. A grand piano awaits you in the majestic gold room, and in the creative green room resides a full-fledged professional recording studio where songs are transformed into polished albums. Here, Justin mixes and masters songs, creates albums for himself and students, and even steps in as a studio musician to help local bands produce professional recordings.

Flower Mound Art & Music also celebrates the visual arts thanks to Miss Ji, who joined the studio one year ago. A product of the esteemed Art Institute of Chicago, her expertise spans drawing, painting, bookbinding, collage, sculpture, and printmaking, adding another dimension to the their creative offerings. With her help, the studio has become a place where students can move between disciplines and experience art in many forms. Miss Ji’s classes have become some of the studio’s most popular and have paved the way for future growth at Flower Mound Art & Music.

Small Classes, Real Progress

Another defining strength of the studio is the small class size. Justin teaches one-on-one lessons, while Miss Ji works with no more than five students at a time. This intimate setting allows for close attention, thoughtful guidance, and an open forum for questions, experimentation, and room for error. Students are not rushed through a curriculum or pressured into a rigid goal. They are supported as they learn, step by step, in a way that respects their pace and potential.

This approach has broadened the studio’s appeal. Flower Mound Art & Music welcomes students as young as 4, but its oldest student is 79. That range sends a clear message that creativity does not belong to one age group, one background, or one level of experience.

Whether you’re exploring the arts for the first time or have held a lifelong interest, Flower Mound Art & Music is ready to help you learn an instrument, explore visual art, or find a creative outlet. Enroll in a class today and see for yourself what all the noise is about.
