Local Resident Donates Her Breast Milk Due to Shortage
An unimaginable tragedy struck local resident Madison Hood. She lost her infant son. While she was lost in grief, Madison was still producing milk. During this time, the formula shortage was going strong and Madison decided to selflessly help by donating her breast milk to those that were in need. Denton County is so grateful for Madison and her selfless actions during a time of crisis.

Flower Mound Takes Home Two Trophies
The Flower Mound Communications Department recently brought home two trophies from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) Conference. They placed first for the 2020 Annual Report and second place for the Regular or Recurring Program – Around Town. The entire community is extremely proud of this department and the hard work and dedication that the department puts in each and every day.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step recovery program for anyone who finds themselves struggling with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. This program is special because this recovery program is centered around Christ. Celebrate Recovery has worked hard to be a safe space for those that are looking for community and care. Denton County is proud to be home to a Celebrate Recovery program.
North Texas Fair & Rodeo
The North Texas Fair & Rodeo is coming to town from August 19th through August 27th. This nine-day event is full of amazing country music that takes place on multiple stages, first-class rodeos, livestock shows, carnival rides, food, games, vendors, kid and fun zones, and even more. You won’t want to miss this amazing event!
