Spring in Texas. There’s no better time to sit back in a lawn chair and enjoy some live music, and local cities and businesses make sure you have plenty of opportunities to find your jam. Lakeside Music Series

Bring your blanket or lawn chair, sit back and relax, and enjoy a variety of original and classic songs from every genre. The music and interactions are family friendly, and there’s plenty of restaurants, gelato, and coffee nearby.
Evenings on Oak Street
Every other Thursday from April 10 through June, 6:30-8 pm
Austin Street Plaza, 211 N. Oak Street, Roanoke
Check out the many places along Oak Street to pick up dinner before heading to the Austin Street Plaza for a free performance. The concert series, sponsored by the City of Roanoke and ArtsNET, features local artists representing many genres.
Sounds of Lewisville
Tuesdays in May and June, 7-9:30 pm
Wayne Ferguson Plaza, 150 W. Church St., Old Town Lewisville
Head out to Old Town Lewisville and take in two bands of varied genres, food trucks, Play Lewisville on Wheels activities, bars, and vendors. There’s some seating, but most available seating is on the lawn so bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Concerts in the Park, Flower Mound
Fridays May 2 to May 23, 7 pm

Families and friends can relax and listen to great music at the free Concerts in the Park. Glass and alcohol are prohibited on park property, and food trucks and vendors will be on site selling food.
Twilight Tunes
Thursdays in May and June, 6:30-8 pm
Downtown Denton Courthouse Lawn, 110 W. Hickory St., Denton
Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to claim your spot on the Courthouse lawn. Grab a bite to go from any of the great restaurants nearby. The award-winning concert series is sponsored by the Denton Main Street Association.
Movies in a Park
First three Fridays in May, starts at twilight
Doubletree Ranch Park, 310 Highland Village Rd., Highland Village
It’s not music (concerts in the park are in October), but you’ll enjoy the spring outdoors with a free movie in the park — Moana 2, Inside Out 2, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 — over the first three Fridays in May. Bring a way to stay comfy, a blanket or lawn chair.
Spring Concerts at the River Walk
Fridays through June 13, 6:30-9:30 pm
