Kindergartener Emma Hampton started at Lace Thompson Elementary School the same day her uncle, Lance Thompson who the school is named after, would have turned 40 years old. Lance was a Northwest ISD resident who died unexpectedly at the age of 6. His father, Roger Thompson was a Northwest ISD school board member, and Lance’s mother, Sharla Stockard, once worked for Northwest ISD. Emma is now a part of Northwest ISD’s history like the many people in her family.
