Grace in Every Step

For Dr. Sara Suttle, opening Grace Foot and Ankle was about creating more than a medical practice. It was about building the kind of place where she would want her own family to receive care — where advanced medical expertise is paired with compassion, time, personal attention and genuine service.

A board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and veteran, Dr. Suttle has seen firsthand how much foot and ankle problems can affect nearly every aspect of a person’s life. Pain and limited mobility can impact independence, confidence, work, exercise and even the simple activities people often take for granted.

Her goal is to help patients get back on their feet — and back to the lives they love.

That vision became Grace Foot and Ankle in December 2025.

After years of education, military service, surgical training and patient care, Dr. Suttle was ready to create a practice that reflected her own values. She wanted to spend time listening to patients, explain treatment options clearly and provide comprehensive care in one welcoming location.

Since opening, Grace Foot and Ankle has continued to expand its services. Patients can receive everything from routine and preventive foot care and custom orthotics to wound care, regenerative medicine, laser therapy, shockwave therapy and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. The practice also recently expanded into the neighboring space, allowing for additional examination rooms and the creation of Grace Medical Spa, which offers medically focused nail and pedicure services.

For Dr. Suttle, this addition addresses an important need in the community. Traditional nail salons are not always equipped to safely care for individuals with conditions such as diabetes, neuropathy, or circulation concerns. Grace Medical Spa provides a clean, medically focused environment where those patients can receive specialized attention.

Growing With the Community

The rapid growth of Grace Foot and Ankle has been both exciting and instructive. Within only a few months of opening, the practice had already outgrown its original space. Rather than viewing growth simply as an opportunity to become bigger, Dr. Suttle saw it as an opportunity to become more comprehensive. Listening to patients has played a major role in that evolution.

Patients want convenient access to quality care, but they also want preventive services, advanced treatment options and a place where they feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their concerns. Grace Foot and Ankle has responded by thoughtfully expanding its services while keeping the patient experience at the center.

Dr. Suttle has learned that growth rarely follows a perfectly predictable timeline. Running a business requires flexibility, resilience, and a willingness to adjust when new opportunities or challenges arise.

Her faith has also played an important role in that journey. Dr. Suttle says, “I lean heavily on God through prayer, seeking guidance in both major business decisions and everyday challenges.” That faith has helped provide clarity during uncertain moments and the confidence to continue moving forward.

At the heart of the practice is a simple principle: treat every patient the way Dr. Suttle would want herself or a loved one to be treated.

More Than a Foot Doctor

One of the most rewarding parts of Dr. Suttle’s work is seeing the immediate difference treatment can make. A patient may walk through the door in significant pain or unable to comfortably complete everyday activities. Sometimes, appropriate treatment can provide noticeable relief before the patient even leaves the office.

Other times, the journey is longer — perhaps involving surgery, rehabilitation or ongoing treatment. Regardless of the path, Suttle finds meaning in helping people regain comfort, mobility and independence.

She also treasures the relationships that develop along the way. One of her favorite experiences is when a former patient returns years after successful treatment with an entirely different concern. The patient remembered the care they received and, just as importantly, how they were treated.

For Dr. Suttle, that trust is one of the greatest compliments a physician can receive. Those relationships can span generations, too. Caring for a grandparent, their adult children, and eventually their grandchildren, allows her to become more than a healthcare provider. She becomes someone families know and trust.

Serving With Purpose

As a veteran-owned, locally operated practice, Grace Foot and Ankle is grounded in service. Dr. Suttle believes caring for patients is an opportunity to demonstrate compassion, integrity, kindness and humility. Patients are never simply another appointment or medical chart. They are neighbors, friends and members of the community who have placed their trust in her hands. That sense of service is captured in the practice’s guiding words:

“At Grace Foot and Ankle, we believe caring for our patients is more than our profession — it is an opportunity to serve God by serving our community.”

The sentiment is further reflected in Galatians 5:13: “…through love serve one another.”

For Dr. Suttle, that philosophy shapes everything from the way patients are greeted to the way treatment options are explained and care plans are developed. Grace Foot and Ankle may be a young practice, but its vision is rooted in years of experience and a lifelong commitment to serving others. As the practice continues to grow in South Denton, Suttle hopes to remain focused on what mattered most when she first opened the doors: providing exceptional care while making every patient feel seen, respected and genuinely cared for.

Ultimately, Grace Foot and Ankle is built on a simple idea — healthy feet can help people live fuller, more active lives, and caring for those patients is a privilege.

For Dr. Suttle, it is also a calling.
