Argyle Orthodontics – Bracelets for Your Teeth
Argyle Orthodontics has embraced the evolution of braces and the growing trend of transforming them into a fashion statement. Today’s braces are not only smooth and sleek but have been aptly named “jewelry for your teeth.”
Dr. David Dyer, a board-certified orthodontist with a passion for serving others, leads the practice with professionalism and cutting-edge technology to ensure that patients receive the best orthodontic care available.
Seven years ago, Dr. Dyer took over Argyle Orthodontics from his father, Dr. James Dyer, who has been an influential figure in orthodontics for over 40 years. James moved the practice from Grapevine to Argyle in the early 2000s. Before taking over the family practice, Dr. Dyer spent 13 years in the US Navy, providing orthodontic care to Marines, Sailors, and their families.
Today, Dr. Dyer is supported by a dedicated team of six professionals who are instrumental in making Argyle Orthodontics the thriving practice it is today. Together, they strive to provide the highest level of patient care, ensuring that as Argyle grows, so does the practice.
Dr. Dyer emphasizes the importance of early orthodontic checks and early intervention when needed. The American Academy of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that all children should be examined by an orthodontist by age 7.
There are many valuable treatments that children can benefit from at an earlier age, and these “Phase 1” treatments typically focus on growth of the face, expanding the jaws, creating space for adult teeth, and even improving airway and
breathing issues.
Treating younger patients can be important, but orthodontic treatment isn’t limited to any age. At Argyle Orthodontics, patients range from age 6 to the 60s. During consultations, patients are presented with a variety of treatment options, including braces, Invisalign, and flexible financing plans.
At Argyle Orthodontics, there is no need to worry about that old cliché “metal mouth.” Dr. Dyer uses state-of-the-art brackets that are not only more effective, but also smaller, lighter-colored, and aesthetically pleasing. The rhodium brackets look like white gold jewelry and blend more seamlessly with natural teeth.
Unlike many practices who use only one set prescription for every patient, Dr. Dyer uses a variety of different prescriptions in his brackets so he can customize the treatment plan to be ideal for each individual patient.
And for those patients who want to make more of a statement with the jewelry on their teeth, patients can personalize their braces with colors that match their friends, their school teams, celebrate holidays, or reflect seasonal trends.
Dr. Dyer knew these new braces were a hit when his teenage son began orthodontic treatment, and his younger daughter couldn’t wait to get her own “bracelet teeth.” For many, wearing braces has become a rite of passage, and Dr. Dyer even sees some patients who are reluctant to have their braces removed because they are so happy with how they look with their tooth jewelry.
Argyle Orthodontics is not only committed to excellence in patient care but also plays an active role in the community. The practice is a proud supporter of local schools and student programs, including athletics, band, drill team, and cheerleading. Dr. Dyer and his team also provide educational materials to promote proper dental care from an early age.
In addition, Dr. Dyer also participates with Argyle High School’s health practicum program, in which students interested in healthcare professions get a chance to shadow him and gain preliminary training in a healthcare-related career. This partnership between the community and the practice offers students a unique glimpse into the day-to-day life of an orthodontist and other health professionals.
Whether you’re seeking early orthodontics, teen orthodontics, or adult treatment, Dr. Dyer and his team are ready to help you achieve the smile you desire, all while maintaining the highest standards of care.
