101 Skills They Should Know Before Flying the Nest

Do you remember how you learned what Benadryl is for? Or the first time you learned to use a screwdriver? To stamp and mail a letter? To have your oil changed? These are just things that adults somehow know.

Now you’re realizing your precious child, who you’ve been taking care of for their entire life, is going to head out into that great big scary world and start adulting on their own. 

We’ve compiled a list of “101 Adulting How To” tasks your soon-to-be-an-adult should know. In the time you have before the big day, be intentional about setting them up for success, from the basics like mailing a letter to the vital things like staying safe. 

Enjoy the satisfaction of checking off the ones they already know — you’d be amazed at how many college freshman don’t know their right from their left. And for those that don’t get checked, just let them know they can always call home to ask.

Info to know
